- ANDREW BROCK Senator. When the Senate voted May 6, 2009 on the Take-over Bill (SB967) we are pleased that Senator Andrew Brock voted against this bad Legislation. The only Senators standing with him in opposition to this Bill were Sen. Debbie Clary, Sen. Jean Preston, and Sen. David Rouzer. The HRLA salutes their efforts.

- MAX WALSER Davidson
County Commissioner, is doing an outstanding job of being actively involved
in the Re-Licensing process. Dr. Walser is proving the means to help the lake
and the many varied lake interests. When the HRLA suggested actions that would
be beneficial to our goals of a better lake in June 2004, Dr. Walser took
us seriously and has produced results on virtually every point we suggested.
Our Hats Off to Dr. Walser, and we strongly encourage our
membership to thank him at every opportunity.
